JETT ("we", "us", or "our") operates the JETT website and mobile applications (together, the "Services"), through which passengers can search schedules, book bus tickets, and manage their trips. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have under the Jordanian Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 ("PDPL") and other applicable laws.

By using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Data We Collect

a. Information you provide to us

Account information: name, email address, mobile number, password, and (optionally) date of birth and gender.
Booking information: passenger names, trip details (origin, destination, date, seat number), national ID or passport number where required for cross-border trips.
Payment information: payment card details are collected and processed securely by our licensed payment service provider. JETT does not store full card numbers on its own servers.
Communications: messages, inquiries, or complaints you send to our customer service team by phone, email, or in-app support.

b. Information collected automatically

Device and usage data: IP address, device type, operating system, app version, browser type, language settings, and pages or screens viewed.
Location data: approximate location (with your permission) to help you find nearby stations or track trip status. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.
Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and analyze how the Services are used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

Create and manage your account.
Process bookings, issue tickets, and collect payment.
Send booking confirmations, trip reminders, schedule changes, and service notifications.
Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
Verify identity where required for cross-border travel.

We process your data on the legal bases of contract performance, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, and compliance with legal obligations, in accordance with the PDPL.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

Payment processors to complete transactions securely.
Service providers who support our operations (cloud hosting, SMS/email delivery, analytics), under contracts requiring them to protect your data and use it only on our instructions.
Government and regulatory authorities where required by law, court order, or for cross-border travel formalities.
Partner carriers where your trip involves a connecting or partner service, limited to the data needed to fulfil your booking.

Where data is transferred or stored outside Jordan (for example, on cloud infrastructure), we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a level of protection consistent with the PDPL.

4. Data Retention

We keep your personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above:

Account data: for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward.
Booking and transaction records: as required by Jordanian tax, accounting, and transport regulations.
Support communications: for as long as needed to resolve your inquiry and maintain service quality records.

When data is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymize it.

5. Data Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, network protections, and regular security reviews. Payment transactions are handled by PCI-DSS-compliant payment providers. No system is completely secure, so we encourage you to keep your account password confidential and notify us of any suspected unauthorized access.

Under the PDPL, you have the right to:

Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Delete your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
